What to Bring To Condo Rentals on Vacation

There are lots of things that you don't need to bring to condo rentals. All of the major appliances are already there along with most of the basic kitchen necessities that you will need to make things easier. All of the bedding, tissues, and toilet paper are already there. However, there are some things that you want to bring along just to make the stay a little more convenient. You can choose to pack them up before you leave the house or purchase them at a nearby store.

Packing Some Essentials

You are going to want to bring along your own toiletries when you head out for one of the condo rentals. Most do not have the samples of soap, shampoo, and lotions. These are things that you would need to pack whether you were staying in a hotel or other type of accommodations, so it should not be too much trouble.

Aside from your regular clothes, make sure that you check out the local weather and look into the amenities that the property offers. If there is a pool or you are going to be near the beach, you don't want to forget your swimsuit. Make the most out of your time and enjoy your stay. If you are going to be in colder weather, make sure that you bring a jacket and any necessary skiing attire if you plan to take to the slopes.

Purchase Once You Arrive

You don't want to pack everything that you will need for you stay in one of the condo rentals. Many essentials will be there including the plates, cups, toilet paper and trash cans. However, if you want things like paper towels or paper plates, you will need to pick them up on you own. This saves you from having to do the dishes. If you forgot anything, this trip to the store will help you pick up anything that you forgot.

In addition to a few paper products, you will want to pick up some food to bring back to one of the condo rentals. If you plan to fix meals or you want to have cold drinks, pick them up on the way to the unit. Families often come up with a grocery list beforehand so they have an idea of what everyone will want. If there are going to be set meals, all of the essentials can be picked up at one time.

Remember that families that eat at the condo rentals instead of eating out all the time tend to save money. With a little bit of planning, it is possible to have everything needed, whether you have to pack it up in advance or pick it up along the way.

Also located in the Promenade Park is a large ornamental lake, amphitheatre, play galleon and fort, aerial runway, model boating, crabbing lake, three sand pits, children's play area, children's maze, skateboard and BMX area, a scenic riverside walk, formal gardens, cricket and football pitches, tennis courts and a variety of shops selling food and refreshment.

Roughing it in Thailand Without a Hitch

Nothing beats true adventure tours in Thailand. It is a land of fun, exotic cuisine and a melting pot of culture unique even in Southeast Asia. It has something for everyone - but especially for an intrepid jungle trekker and outdoor explorer. Strap that backpack on and enter a steamy, mysterious world where temples and skyscrapers sit squarely next to each other.

Before you pack your bags, keep a few things in mind:

Pack smart. Packing light means packing smart. Look for light garments that can be easily folded, washed and reused. Multifunction garments are a must. Pack a light blanket and towel. Accommodation here is wonderfully welcoming, but you may find yourself stranded outside the common bathroom with a towel older than you!

Get the best backpack and pair of good shoes you can afford. You will be riding a lot of tuk-tuks (pedicabs), buses, walking the towns and villages and more. Well-made gear will last through the weather and travel, but also stop your back from aching, your feet from swelling and turning your adventure into an exercise in misery.

Cash on hand. If you can change money before you leave your country, do so. Exchange rates are higher in airports, so you may not get the most out of your money. You do not want to end up stranded at the airport without a single baht to your name while some tourist hawker waves a Tours in Thailand sign at you!

Water. This may be a tired maxim but tours in Thailand can be ruined by a bout of stomach flu, or a fever you just quite cannot shake. Developed country stomachs cannot handle water from the tap so buy bottled every time. If you cannot stand the thought of constantly having to pay for water, bring a filtration device or a reusable tumbler.

Eat everything cooked. Until you acclimatise (or until your stomach does) avoid fresh greens or raw fruit. [Unless you are travel-savvy enough to have packed vegetable wash.] Looking forward to eating fresh greens? Mix one part vinegar to three parts water to rinse your veggies in - it is an organic wash that can help kill microorganisms.

Bring meds. Check and double check your painkillers, vitamins and any medical necessities. You may want to add a few water purification tablets too. Over-the-counter meds are not a rarity in Thailand, but you do not want to find yourself stranded in the middle of a temple tour with a nasty case of the hives. If you are allergic to food or medication, keep a note on your person (preferably somewhere where it can easily be seen) in English and if possible, Thai.

Stay fit. If you are used to exercise, hit the markets and temples right off the bat to help you work off that jet lag. Rent a bike to tour the city if you want to keep up your exercise regime, sign up for a muay thai class if you have the time, swim or dive.

Use the network. Before checking into a hotel or signing up for a tour, use the power of the Internet. Many ratings websites give you an honest write up. Join forums, ask questions and plan out your route and trip accordingly.

This exotic Asian country is an adventures haven. Many tours in Thailand are geared towards the discerning backpacker. Make the right decisions and your money will go a long way towards creating that out of the country experience you have always wanted.

The E-Reader War! Amazon Kindle 2 Vs Sony

This review is going to talk about some first user's experience with the Amazon Kindle 2 and more in depth information about the Sony PRS-505.

After 10 years digital books and e books finally leave the computer and become readable on external devices, this is in large part thanks to the competition in the market of the portable devices. The 2 main players of the e-reader are Amazon's Kindle 2 and Sony Corp.'s Portable Reader System.

Amazon as usual wants the first place and the dominant position in the e-reader world. The Kindle, in its three versions is obviously aiming even if no one will admit it to monopolies this market and pass from the biggest reseller of physical books to the empire of the eBooks thanks to the Kindle 2.

To better promote this strategy Amazon is building into each Kindle 2 a wireless system that works anywhere cell phone service is available. On the other hand Sony users rely on computers connected to the Internet to purchase and download content like eBooks for their devices. Kindle 2 users are not restricted to a wire.

Almost too easy to buy content over that wireless connection and send it straight to the Kindle 2. Smart thing if you want to find yourself purchasing items you didn't want and having to delete them later. Amazon is making it more convenient every day to seduce the potential buyers and increase market share.

Many readers prefer the privacy of the Sony, after playing around with a Kindle 2 for a couple of days.
Also battery life is better conserved when you can press a button when interested in a internet connection The Kindle is a little "trigger happy" for some. But many others obviously feel the opposite.

Both the Kindle 2 and its competitor are easy to read, even under direct light. The Kindle is a little more robust and a bit heavier. The instructions and quick-start guide have Kindle 2 running first and it has a better written and more detailed user manual Sony takes more time to master for the most.

Fonts represent a significant deference between the Kindle 2 and its rival; Kindle offers 6 and Sony 3. Also larger font sizes are great help Kindle gives older eyes, but formatting irregularities are present in both models. Amazon Kindle 2 has 1 USB cord (to hook the device to a computer) with a small electric power adapter. Sony: two different cords and the AC-DC power is an extra charges.

PDF the current universal standard format for academic is not supported by the Kindle 2 like a True monopolist, unlike the Sony that does, Instead, Amazon offers its users to send the document to their computers and convert the file for free with the automatic document conversion service, and then transfer them back to their Kindles but charges to send converted documents directly to a Amazon Kindle 2.

For people who read a primarily academic, business and government publications should opt for the Sony For the bestsellers and news readers the Kindle is probably better for the moment, even if for now they are limited in their reading options (not every new book, newspaper, magazine or blog is Kindle compatible). Also the larger the PDF file is the more frequent and perceptible are the formatting problems. That's if you deal with lots of Adobe documents. It's OK for word documents, but not as much for leisure reading or rich art, charts, and photos content.

If you want the advantage of a compact electronic library, remember that neither the Kindle 2 nor the Sony can be called cheap, and what about the cost of content. No matter if you travel extensively and you are a e book reader, or simply have to have the latest digital thingy, ebooks remain a luxury in the current economy.

Overall I liked the Amazon Kindle 2 better and I see a better future for it in my life, you.... Need to make up your choice.

Teeth Whitening Paint - Smile With Confidence

Say Goodbye To Discoloured Teeth

Do you find yourself avoiding social situations more and more or making excuses when presented with the opportunity to meet new people because you are embarrassed by the look of your teeth? It is a proven fact that self-esteem suffers greatly when we are not happy with our physical appearance. If you have been unable to change the discoloration of your teeth due to cost then you need to take a little time to find out about teeth whitening paint. Most systems that are available are costly and time consuming and require the use of trays or plastic strips and often repeated visits to your dental office. With teeth whitening paint there is no apparatus involved and the whitener is applied directly onto the surface of your teeth using a simple brush. The whitening paint solidifies once it has been painted on thus creating a film that adheres to the teeth.

Since the results are seen right away, it can be used anytime an unexpected social or professional situation arises. People in the media, models and actors in theatre and film use it regularly to give both their private and public image the best smile they can. Go to that important interview that became available at the last minute with confidence knowing that you will be able to focus on the task at hand rather that being worried that the person interviewing you is getting the wrong impression when you smile.

Harmless, Non-Toxic and Safe

Teeth whitening paint produces an instant cosmetic layer over the discolouration of your teeth caused by tobacco stains, aging, gray tooth syndrome, etc., and will give you the appearance of naturally white, healthy teeth. Teeth whitening paint can also be used to brighten crowns, dentures, bridges, veneers and caps; it is harmless, non-toxic and has been analyzed for safety. Reclaim your self-confidence and don't hide your smile any longer. Soon you will find yourself saying yes to impromptu gatherings and will smile openly whenever someone brings out a camera.

Improve your Appearance Instantly

Take the time to go on line now and order the teeth whitening paint used by professionals and instantly improve your appearance. You take care to look your best by carefully choosing the right outfit for work or leisure activities. You maintain a healthy body by eating right and exercising regularly. While all those things are important they will not overcome the look of yellow and stained teeth. First impressions are instant and long lasting. Don't let the one thing that people remember about you to be your inability to smile or when you do, see a smile full of yellowing and stained teeth. You will be amazed at the renewed vitality you will feel when you can shake someone's hand and confidently flash a healthy and white smile. Take the time right now to order your whitening paint and reclaim your self-esteem. Go ahead on a date and dazzle that special someone and enjoy an evening of dining, dancing and lots of smiles. You can enjoy all your special outings once you've used your whitening paint!

No Longer Be Self-conscious

One or two teeth that are discoloured can ruin an otherwise bright and pleasant smile. We all know that the person or people we are talking to notice teeth that appear yellow and stained. It makes it difficult for someone to focus on what you have to say or to just simply enjoy your company when they constantly see teeth that are discoloured. For anyone who has had a root canal that has later darkened the tooth, you know how self-conscious it makes you to have people see a single off-coloured tooth. One of the great advantages of teeth whitening paint products is that you are able to change the color of one single tooth. No longer will you find yourself trying to hide your smile or avoiding situations where people will see your teeth.

A Clean, Bright, Healthy Smile

It can be very cumbersome using teeth whitening trays, especially when you may only have one or a few teeth that need to be whitened. Products such as bleaching trays or plastic strips can be difficult to keep in place and can cause gum irritation and in some people even excessive salivation. Teeth whitening paint is a great solution for people who need to whiten some or even all of their teeth without the inconvenience of other, often cumbersome whitening products.

If you have been considering whitening your teeth but are not sure how you feel about the process, the perfect place to start is with an inexpensive and easy to use teeth whitening paint. Don't wait any longer to regain a clean, bright and healthy smile. Purchase your teeth whitening paint right now and regain the confidence you always had smiling and talking with friends, family and co-workers.

Whiten Your Smile With Teeth Whitening

There are many choices in today's market if you are looking to whiten your teeth. We all know the impact of first impressions and if you have a smile that shows some, all or most of your teeth with stains, it can have a very negative impact on the people you meet. If the price and inconvenience of repeated visits to a cosmetic dentist are not for you, there are still options like teeth whitening paint that many people have taken advantage of over the years. Some advantages are obvious, like being able to administer the procedure at home rather than traveling to a dental office or the large amount of money you will save with a teeth whitening paint product.

If like many people who are considering regaining a bright, healthy smile, you need to only whiten one or a few teeth, teeth whitening paint may be the solution you have been looking for. There are generally a couple of options when you have chosen to use a teeth whitening paint product. It can be applied and left on for 30 minutes or painted on and left overnight. You will also be able to find one that uses carbamide peroxide rather than the more traditional hydrogen peroxide. The advantage of carbamide is that it will not harm your teeth like hydrogen peroxide can and is the recommended choice of bleaching agents by most dentists.

4 Questions To Ask Before Buying Baby Car Seats

If you are in the market for a car seat for your child, the options available can leave you a bit confused. The seats come in different sizes, designs and models to cater for different needs. By answering a few simple questions, you can find the best product for your child.

· How do you want it fixed?

Do you want a set that is rear facing or facing the front and how do you want it strapped. Some seats are built to stay strapped in the vehicle, while others are removed and fitted every time you need to travel with the child. You can get combination seats that are created for a longer life and your child can use the seat until he or she is about 4 years old.

· How important is portability?

If you want to be able to carry the child from the car into the grocery store without unstrapping him or her, you need an infant carrier. The carriers are lightweight and they come with a convenient handle. You can easily remove them from the car seat to carry them around, or you can simply attach them to Prams when you need to.

· Do you have passenger airbags in your car?

If your car has passenger airbags, your child should always be in the back seat. An inflated airbag can be very dangerous to the baby. Make sure that you find out this detail from the car manufacturer. The side airbags are usually safe enough.

· How much do you want to spend?

Your budget will determine the type of car seat you will get. There are second-hand items available, but it is not a good idea to buy them, as you do not know the seats history. It is always a good idea to shop for new Baby Car Seats so that you can get the best quality. Choose durability if you plan to have more than one child.

It is very important to make sure that the seat is fitted properly in the car. A loose car seat will not offer any protection. Test to make sure that the seat will fit properly in your car before you take it home. The portable seats tend to fit well in most cars, but there are some set models that can be quite tricky. Buying a seat that your child can use for a couple of years is more cost-effective than replacing the seat as your child grows.

The Moon Landing Really was Fake

There are many half crazed, mad, lunatic conspiracy theorists who would have us believe that there never was any moon landings in the sixties and that all the films, photos and artifacts that supposedly was taken then, are faked and was made in a film studio by George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Arthur C Clark.

They say that it is too dangerous to walk on the moon, because of secret Strogg basis there, moon muggers as well as unearthly radiation. Others claim that the photos are all wrong, under exposed and where are the stars? Other lunatics say it is so hot on the moon that the astronauts would have been cooked alive in those big lumpy aluminum suits they were wearing. Still other say it is so cold on the moon that the lunar module would have cracked like metal falling in dry ice. Others say it is so dark on the moon that...well you get the picture

Well, la di da, I would say to these lunatics. I did some research on this subject and came up with the real truth like I always do. Traveling all over my home town and doing lots of research on the Internet I gathered all the evidence I need to write what I am about to write here.

The real truth is that people have been visiting the moon since the middle ages. The Nazi's even established a moon base there in 1942 and the Americans have been partying there since the late 50's. There are even those who claim that the Dogon tribe went there with mud and grass spaceships in ancient times...

But let's start at the beginning.

One evening in 1203 Johannes Vogel of Mittestadt in Germania had a dream that he was being pulled through the sky in a basket by twenty huge and powerful birds. The next morning he told his wife about his dream, who subsequently hit him on the head with a bread roller screaming: "You drunken, lazy oaf, go find work and bring money into the house for a chance. This is what happens when you eat too much meat and drink too much beer before going to bed at night."

But by that afternoon Vogel and his son were catching huge pelicans and flamingos in the nearby swamp. They then put the birds in a big enclosed camp where they had them do all kinds of exercises like aerobics and weight training for a period of three months.

They say that after catching the birds Johannes changed into a real nasty drill master and the birds hated him.

They say the day that they started their exercise regime Vogel walked through their ranks stating: "I have never seen a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself."

Then Vogel started giving those birds the hardest training birds have ever received.

After those three months all those birds were well muscled and so muscular that even their wings had muscles, why even their muscles had muscles.

Johannes Vogel then put little harnesses on the birds and attached them to the great wicker basket that he inherited from his grandfather. The birds (all having birdbrains) immediately tried to escape on being released thinking more exercises were to follow and with this they pulled Johannes and his wicker basket into the sky. The more they tried to get away from Johannes, the higher they pulled him.

No birds flew like those birds flew on that day, not before nor afterwards...

They pulled the basket right past the atmosphere of earth and right to the moon. The problem was that the birds were totally exhausted and died on landing on the moon. Vogel had no way of returning to earth. No one really knows what happened to Vogel, but historians are sure that he was the first man who died on the moon.

When the Nazi's went to the moon in 1942 the only evidence they found of Vogel was a handwritten note which states: " No, no, it is them, they have returned... they have feathers, they have teeth, they are huge, no...I am sorry...mercy noooo....aaaaaaaaaahhhhh, I am being killed by....." and then they couldn't make out the scrawlings anymore.

In any case, the Nazi's established a base on the moon. This base is being used up to this day. Once the Nazi's were on the moon, they were contacted by renegade aliens who gave them lots of ultra modern unheard of technology, like rock and roll, television, Playstation, Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Internet, etc. The Nazi's subsequently used this technology to take over the world bit by bit, without anyone knowing and without shooting even one shot.

In the meantime the Americans have also reached the moon in 1950 being given the technology by traitorous Nazi scientists who wanted to save their own skins after the Nazis lost the war on Earth.

The Americans then also secretly established their own basis there. It is ironic that their first base was called Alpha 1999, after Doctor Alpha 1999 who was the inventor of the space screw.

With their typical I-am-never-satisfied-with-what-I-have attitude the Americans build lots of space stations on and around the moon and was soon on their way to Mars, Jupiter and Uranus where they have many colonies by now.

You didn't really think that these abducted people were abducted by Aliens, did you. No, gentle reader, these people are abducted to be used as slave labor for the American colonies on other planets in our solar system. Using humans to cut and carry rocks and doing mining is apparently more efficient than using machinery.

In any case by 1963 the Americans were already on Mars, but his was never made public.

In that same year, the then idiot who was voted in as president, John F Kennedy said that they will put a man on the moon. This is what happens if one gives a major speech after drinking two whole bottles of Irish Whisky.

This was really embarrassing to NASA who now had to start pretending as if they were really going to put a man on the moon, by using the primitive technology of Earth or at least the technology that it pretended to have.

Kennedy was leisurely killed one sunny day in Texas to teach him to keep his drunken mouth shut. This was done by an assassin from the moon that was specially assigned this task, because he would never be traced. He stood on the grassy knoll, right in front of Kennedy's car and shot him full in the face three times. After assassinating Kennedy he was simply beamed back up to the moon.

The FBI was too embarrassed to admit that they had no evidence on who killed Kennedy and framed Lee Harvey Oswald for the assassination. When they saw their case would be torn apart in court they hired Jack Ruby to kill Oswald and make the whole nasty episode go away (or so they thought).

To make a very long story short NASA then decided to fake the whole going to the moon episode. They used their movie studios on Mars to produce a fake moon landing. Why did they use the studios on Mars, you would ask. Not only was it more cost effective to make the movie there, it is also a secret location and they didn't have to make use of earth personnel. That is why no-one as yet came forward to claim that they were part of this elaborate hoax.

They just knew that Lucas and Spielberg would be the people with enough imagination to make such a movie. Where did you think two teenagers got such a lot of money from to produce blockbusters like Star Wars and Back to the Future? And why is Spielberg allowed to use secret, ultra modern NASA technology to make his movies? Now you know.

If you read the rest of the conspiracies on this site, you would know by now that NASA is being run by Jewish bankers who are in reality Egyptian bankers who are collecting money to build a humongous Giza like pyramid. These guys are so stingy they won't waste even one cent if they can prevent it.

Where is my proof for all this, my more intelligent readers would ask. I found this in a secret cave hidden in the mountains surrounding the village where I live.

1. An invoice with the NASA letterhead on made out to a Mister S Spielberg stating: Full amount for making movie of fake moon landing in our studios on the planet Mars.

2. A note written on NASA notepaper stating: Dear Mr Jack anyone-who-makes-fun-of-my momma-or-my-surname-is-a-death-motherfucker Ruby, our agents talked to Lee Harvey Oswald. He told us to tell you the following: "yo momma is so fat, the pyramid of Giza is her breakfast chair, you have a girly surname and go fuck yourself you big fat slob." Gun will be left in the middle stall in the basement toilet, if you are in the vicinity at about 09:30. Regards, Mr X aka the smoking thin man.

3. Apiece of moon rock with the legend LucasArt Light and Magic stamped on the bottom.

4. A photo of Spielberg standing hand around the neck with what looks like ET, but couldn't have been, because the photo was taken in 1963. In the background a signboard that says Mars City One McDonalds can clearly be seen.

If this doesn't convince you the moon landing was fake, you are a Lizard...

From Zero To Hero With Hypnosis

My story

For many years I suffered from alcoholism and major depression, I would frequently consider suicide and I could not see any real reason to continue living. My world fell apart, I lost a highly paid job, was forced to move to an area where I did not want to live, my partner and children left me and I sought solace in alcohol. I lived on my own in chaos and my alcoholism became more of a problem, I was prescribed antidepressants which when mixed with alcohol left me spaced out of my mind. I knew I had to do something about my condition, alcohol was ruining my life and prescribed medication was only making things worse. At the worst point in my life, I had nothing apart from an old car filled with my few possessions.

I wondered if they might be any natural alternatives which could cure me, I tried natural antidepressants, learned how to meditate, sought spiritual development, but I remained stuck, that was at least until I discovered brainwave entrainment. I purchased some software off the Internet which allowed me to create tones for meditation, I created 30 minute tracks which generated tones to induce a level of meditation traditionally experienced only by Masters of meditation. I was astounded at how effective these tracks were and that by listening to the tracks just once a day profound changes were occurring in my life. I came off my medication, my outlook on life became more positive and I no longer felt suicidal. I started to discover and enjoy being myself, I began to get amazing flashes of intuition and creativity and best of all, I was finally able to overcome a 25 year addiction to alcohol. This truly was a great power and had opened me to world of fantastic opportunity.

What is brainwave entrainment in a nutshell?

Brainwave entrainment is the process of applying an audio stimulus to the brain to invoke a desired change in brainwave frequency. Using brainwave entrainment it is possible to meditate like a Zen master, overcome insomnia, become more creative, overcome addictions and even increase your IQ!

How is my life different today?

I work from home and I can afford all of the luxuries that I want, I own my own house and only pay for utilities and services, I got married a year ago, I travel abroad when I want to, I work when I want to and I play a lot. I never conceived that life could be this good, I always believed life was meant to be hard! My intuition guided me and I was able to create products which would sell on autopilot and generate fantastic income with minimal effort on my part, it was a dream come true, I had truly become independent and no longer had to answer to anyone apart from myself. I start the day off with a swim, Jacuzzi and sauna and spend each day having fun! I generally only have to work a couple of hours a week and its work that I enjoy and can choose to do at my leisure. I find it hard to believe that those few hours of work I do each week make me more than I did when I was working full time. I'm currently in the process of automating those two hours of work and outsourcing future developments to third parties, so all I have to do is to explore my creativity.

Can you afford not to give it a try?

Well it is entirely up to you, if you are content to stay where you are then by all means do, but if you really want to change then I'm offering you an opportunity to fulfill your wildest dreams.

Upcoming Zombie Movies

The latest Zombie Movies of 2013-14

Zombies have of late gained a large amount of interest in pop culture. The reasons might be myriad - a morbid fascination with apocalypse situations, a metaphor for the way that most people allow themselves to be herded like sheep, a growing fear stemming from recent virulent diseases that have wreaked havoc on populations. Whatever the reasons may be, Zombies now have their own genre despite seeming mindless, no pun intended.

Though first featured in White Zombie (1932), it wasn't until the premier of Night of the Living Dead (1968) that Zombies in movies really garnered attention from the majority of the viewing public. A slew of Resident Evil movies later, Zombie movies were regarded as a completely action and horror oriented subject. With the release of Shaun of the Dead (2004) though, Zombie movies have been explored for their comic value, thus bursting the dam on what can be done with thousands of mindless, smelly creatures all intent on eating those still alive. The success of AMC's The Walking Dead, a zombie apocalypse survival television series, has promptly brought on the year of the zombie, with more than a dozen films and ventures that attempt to cash in on the success that these undead freaks of nature have achieved. Here we take a look at some of the Zombie movies set to be released soon:

World War Z - One of the biggest zombie movies to be released yet, WWZ stars Brad Pitt in the leading role as Gerry Lane, a United Nations worker whose task is to coordinate resistance and help stop the global Zombie epidemic that threatens to tear down human civilization. Based on the eponymous book by Max Brooks, the director, Marc Forester portrays the Zombie cadres like a colony of ants whose strength is in numbers. With a budget in excess of $200 million, Paramount Pictures is set to release the film in June of this year. This is likely to set a record as the highest grosser of Zombie movies 2013-14.

Warm Bodies - Based on a book by Isaac Marion, Warm Bodies is a Zombie romantic comedy that explores Zombie love. Jonathan Levine, who wrote the screenplay and also directed the movie, ventures into the untested by providing a Zombie's perspective. Nicholas Hoult stars as Zombie who shows signs of human emotions towards Teresa Palmer's character and the movie explores the possibility of humans and zombies living in a harmonious environment. Released early February of this year, this Zombie movie has already grossed over $100 million, making this a must watch for any Zombie movies lover.

The 4th Reich - Combining the two greatest villainous entities in Hollywood, this Sean Bean starrer terrifies movie goers with Nazi Zombies. Directed and written by Shaun Robert Smith, this World War 2 era movie portrays an elite team of a British Infantry Division as they go about killing Nazis and eliminating the threat of Zombies created by Nazi scientists during their experiments to create a superior human race. Set to be released late this year, The 4th Reich is another in a long list of WW2 movies, but with a slightly undead twist.

Invasion of the Not Quite Dead - A dark comedy thriller about the inhabitants of a small island off the coast of England that is turned into Zombie death trap by a deadly virus, this is one of the more entertaining Zombie movies, written and directed by Anthony Lane is not one to miss. Starring relatively well known Andrew Ellis and Ajay Nayyar, the movie promises a unique look at how a small group of survivors face the rigors and challenges of escaping Zombies.

Wyrmwood: This is an Australian movie set to be released in late 2013, with post-production work going on. The movie is styled after the Will Smith starrer I AM LEGEND, and falls in the action category of Zombie Movies 2013-14. Written and directed by Kiah Roache-Turner, the movie stars Jay Gallagher, Bianca Bradey and Leon Burchill. The story revolves around Jay Gallagher, whose character loses his family on the eve of a zombie attack. He teams up with a friend and together they drive through the Australian Bush to the safer interiors, battling the undead on the way from the comfort of a fortified van. This movie seems to have a better storyline when compared to many of the other Zombie movies 2013-14 has to offer.

R.I.P.D - Also known as Rest In Peace Department, is a Zombie action comedy that has a star studded cast. Ryan Reynolds plays a recently murdered cop and joins the likes of Kevin Bacon, Jeff Bridges and Mary-Louise Parker who along with others and forms a team of undead police officers. With a release date in mid July 2013, this Zombie film portrays the undead as the good guys who use their undeadness to fight crime. Directed by Robert Schwentke who has blockbusters like Red (2010) and The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) under his belt, this is one of the better Zombie movies 2013-14 and is sure to exceed all expectations.

The Harvard Zombie Massacre - Another Zombie movie that is presently in pre production, it is set in a Harvard University campus overrun with Zombies. The twist that sets this movie apart from the rest of the Zombie movies is that these particular Zombies aren't as mindless as one might suspect. Produced by Warren Zide of American Pie and Final Destination fame, the film chronicles how America's most brilliant minds can survive an onslaught from the most brilliant Zombies. This horror comedy written by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit will be released late 2013 or early 2014.

Movies set for release in 2014:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - An adaptation of the classic Jane Austen story of a woman's quest for independence and love, the screenplay has been reworked to include her fight to eradicate a growing Zombie threat. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy are provided with zombie flavored distractions from their pristine 19th century English manors and questions of morality and marriage are superseded by the need to survive. Though the film is still in its planning stage, its unique twist ensures that it will generate a great deal of interest, and not just with zombie movies lovers.

The Curse of the Buxom Strumpet - A dark comedy set in the early 1700's and starring Sir Ian McKellen and Dame Judi Dench, this Zombie movie focuses on the accomplishments of a lord of fictional Upper Trollop, a small town in Oxfordshire, England. Based on E'gad Zombies!, a short film by the same director, Matthew Butler who worked with Ian McKellen, this movie promises a showing like none other, partly due to the tremendous acting talent and also due to the unique settings. Set to be released early 2014, this is one of the Zombie movies that will set itself apart from the rest.

The zombies are taking over the movie theaters and cinemas, after the last few years which were dominated by the vampires and werewolves. Every big Hollywood studio and the not-so-big ones, not to mention the independent movie makers are trying to cash in on the latest craze for the undead, set off the by the popular television series. Zombie movies are invading the cinemas and theaters around the world and there seems to be no stopping the undead, anytime soon.

Labor and Birth: Hospital or Birth Center?

What is a birth center?

Before you even start looking into a birth center you are going to have to meet the requirements of having a low risk, healthy pregnancy.

OK you have passed that test; you are low risk and ready to check this out. So what is a birth center? This is a place where you can enjoy a mellow, low tech, comfortable and safe labor. They are usually an independent facility, not at all like a mini-hospital, but more like being in a nice hotel or bed and breakfast.

Many couples who choose this option still wonder about what, if something, were to go wrong. Don't worry! Emergencies don't just happen. They develop. And there is usually plenty of time to transfer to a medical facility, if needed. In pretty much all birth centers you will be taken care of by a midwife, and have a backup hospital close by. Birth centers are equipped with IV's, oxygen, medication and infant resuscitation, and trained and licensed medical practitioners who know exactly what they are doing.

Some of these birth centers are known as freestanding. This means you will be going to them routinely throughout your pregnancy, and having all your appointments at the same place you will be laboring and birthing. For all you nervous mommies, this gives you time to acclimate.

Hospitals

Most labors and births take place in a hospital, especially if you have an obstetrician. In most cases you will deliver at the place where your care provider works or "has privileges". So keep this in mind before choosing your provider.

Hospitals are good places to deliver for those who have high-risk pregnancies, have had previous birth complications, are planning on doing a VBAC or need a cesarean section. In these situations it is important to have the knowledge and back up from the hospital staff. Many times you will have on-staff pediatricians, anesthesiologist, and newborn medical technology.

Hospitals have come a very long way in the last century. They are no longer that cold, sterile, scary place no one wants to go during labor. Many hospitals, especially those with birth centers have very accommodating rooms. These rooms can include, jetted tubs, dim lights, private bathrooms and sometimes the option of a birthing tub. You may be able to labor, deliver, and recover all in the comfort of one room.

One thing to keep in mind is that all hospital policies can vary, so make sure you know what your priorities are for your labor. Many policies differ between routine IV's, fetal monitoring, birthing positions, time limits, and cesarean policies.

Which one should I choose?

Birth Center Benefits include having more control and involvement during your labor, your pick of invitees, no pressure in getting an epidural, a network of services, lower costs, breastfeeding help, and a speedier check out.

Hospital Benefits include the backup of immediate medical intervention if needed, benefits to the high risk mothers or mothers of multiples, emergency cesarean staff, and neonatal services for the baby.

Despite where you plan on laboring and welcoming your baby into the world, the most important factor is your safety and comfort. Do your research, and make sure you do the work to research and choose the place that is best for yourself, your family, your baby; and where you feel the most relaxed, and safe!

5 Great Ways To Profit From Web Videos

Internet Video is still in its infancy with so much potential ahead. Now is the time to get started and here are some ways that you can profit from web video.

1. Upload Your Videos To Ad Revenue Sharing Sites.

Although YouTube is the leader in video sharing and syndication it has only just introduced placing adverts on its videos to monetize the site. Despite the fact that over 37000 videos are submitted each day only those videos from YouTubes' professional content partners and over 70 independent partner channels will have their videos monetized and receive a percentage of the income.

To profit from submitting your videos then you must look elsewhere and Revver should be your first stop. Revver is..

. a video-sharing platform built the way the internet really works. We support the free and unlimited sharing of media. Our unique technology tracks and monetizes videos as they spread virally across the web, so no matter where your creativity travels, you benefit.

.. the viral video network that pays. We connect video makers and sharers with sponsors in a free and open marketplace that rewards them for doing what they do best.

.. committed to the artist. You have something to say and we built our network to empower you to say it.

Revver recently announced that it had paid out $1 million amongst 25000 video submitters. It is not the only site sharing revenue with video submitters depending on how many times the videos are viewed. Blip.TV and eefoof offer revenue sharing as well.

2. Combine Web Video With Affiliate Marketing

Review a product with a well written article. Lots of new products on the market now have a video embedded within the sales landing page. Using a program such as Affiliate Video Brander you can make use of the sales page video and incorporate it into your article or blog post.

This has many advantages, no cost to you, no time spent producing the video and not even the techie knowledge on how to make videos. As long as you receive permission to show the video, and why wouldn't you as the product owner wants to sell as much product as possible, all you have to do is show the video and collect the affiliate commissions.

3. Create Your Own Google Video Site.

Most movies available on Google Video can be embedded on any web page. If the option is available for the video, there will be a link next to it that gives you the embed code.

If you create a niche site that has plenty of videos available at Google Video and build the site with WordPress you can quickly have a site where you can continuously add new content, much loved by Google. You can find videos about dogs, martial arts and DIY just to name a few.

Create a post for each video, write some text about what is covered in the video and make it interesting. Add Google AdSense ads and/or related product affiliate links to the post and also include an opt in box to capture your viewers email address to notify them of new videos and related offers.

If this proves successful then you can research another niche and start an additional site.

4. Create Promotional Videos For Local Businesses

Once you have experience of making your own videos and have the confidence and equipment required then contact some of your local businesses and show them the benefits of adding video to their websites or starting a website if they do not have one already. I know of a pest control website in the USA which has increased business by displaying funny videos about, you guessed it, pests.

Obvious potential clients would be Realtors, Hotels, Leisure Centers and Car Dealers. It is advisable to license the videos to your clients as it would cost them less to start with and encourage more business, especially once they start to benefit from your input.

Create your own website promoting your services and start advertising in the local press and at the venues of local business and society meetings. Print up business cards to pass around.

5. Place Affiliate Links in Your Own Videos

When you are hosting your own videos or paying for a paid web video service then you have control over your videos and can add redirect websites to the video to take your viewers to your affiliate partners. This can easily be done using my program VideoWebWizard.

You cannot add redirect websites to videos submitted to YouTube and other free video sharing sites or video syndication sites.

This is just five ideas on ways to profit from web videos. There are more ways than this and maybe you can think of more yourself. There is no time like the present to get started so do it now.

Handheld GPS Devices - Analyze Your Needs Before You Purchase!

Handheld GPS devices represent a special category of all available GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver units used in various situations and for different applications. The major applicability or usefulness of handheld, portable GPS devices can be divided into two distinctive categories, i.e. for outdoor leisure and sport activities like hiking, trekking, climbing, camping and running and, secondly, for industrial applications like land surveying and position measurements at construction sites. Utilizing the GPS navigation satellite system, correct location of the GPS receiver can be determined by retrieving exact longitude, latitude and altitude coordinates. Today, most GPS receiver units, whether handheld or not, communicate through radio signals with at least four GPS satellites, whereby three satellites determine the exact location of the receiver and the fourth satellite is used for correcting the receiverâEUR(TM)s clock. After the Selective Availability regulation, which provided certain accuracy reservation for military use, was ended in 2000, the precision of civilian GPS improved from about 100m to about 20m.

Handheld GPS devices provide tremendous flexibility and convenience for the user. Not only can the user continuously monitor his, or her, exact and current geographical location and path of travel, but handheld GPS devices can be fitted for relaying with central offices or base stations that can track or follow the user for security and safety reasons. For example, GPS devices that can communicate with and supply coordinates to a central station are very popular by mountain climbers and hikers. As the GPS system has developed and improved over the past years, many new applications have emerged for the users of handheld GPS devices. Not only can users determine their current location, but also obtain a multitude of additional and supportive information through geographical maps, inserted in the GPS receiver units, such as precise navigation, locations of restaurants and hotels, weather reports, tourist attractions, etc. Currently, there are a number of companies producing and offering many different handheld GPS devices. Some of the best known include, Garmin, Magellan and DeLorme. The devices have a broad range of features, attributes and, of course, price tags. Before selecting a particular handheld device, it is important to know what you will be using it for. For example, a GPS device used for hiking may be less applicable for mountain climbing or, even less, running. Obviously, devices for industrial applications have particular requirements and qualities. If you are looking for a handheld GPS device that can be used in different circumstances, a multipurpose unit could be the answer. Furthermore, you need to have an idea of what features you are interested in or require in addition to the standard GPS and mapping functionality, e.g.:

  • Touch screen window
  • Color screen or black and white
  • Built-in camera (like in mobile phones)
  • SD (memory) card expandability
  • Voice recorder
  • Built-in electronic compass
  • Barometer
  • MP3 Music Player
  • External antenna connector
  • Etc. etc.

Obviously, as the feature list increases, so does the price. Another important thing to keep in mind is considering what geographical maps may be included or applicable to your needs, e.g. outdoor and recreational maps, street maps or marine maps. Most handheld GPS devices come with some pre-loaded or built-in geographical maps, for example a base map of the USA and Canada containing major highways, city centers, bodies of water and more. You need to find out whether you need additional detailed maps that can be added to the handheld device, for example detailed cartographic maps, topographic maps, and more.

Still another important issue to keep in mind is the GPS software that is normally included with the purchase of a new handheld GPS for uploading GPS data to a computer. By that you can conveniently view all your maps, waypoints, trails and routes from your computer screen. Many other interesting advanced features and possibilities can be implemented with an appropriate handheld GPS receiver including, playing "hide-and-seek" and "treasure-hunting" through geocaching or importing your tracks, waypoints and routes into Google Earth for tracking and monitoring. In short, handheld GPS devices offer a plethora of wonderful possibilities and options.

For maximizing its benefits, you should carefully consider your needs and requirements before you actually purchase a new handheld GPS. Common retail prices for handheld GPS devices range from $100 up to $800USD depending on built-in or available features and attributes.

Importance of Reading Books

When technology was not so much forward that it created some milestones in the form of computer and television, at that time of the century people used to read books as their primary leisure activity. They would spend hours in reading books that depicted travel stories that ignited the imagination of the reader far away to some unknown lands of fairies or aliens. But the times have changed and MP3 players have replaced All India Radio and people today have lost their innate passion for reading. But this does not mean that one should neglect the books completely. Recent studies have proven that at least half hours of reading a day keeps a person abreast with varied styles of writing and improves the vocabulary.

As compared to other means of entertainment that includes listening to music, playing games such as cricket, etc and watching television, reading books is the most productive one as one improves vocabulary and improves word power. Additionally scientific researches have proved that children and teenagers who love reading have comparatively higher IQ level as compared to those who watch television. Moreover, they are dexterous, creative and do better in school and education and therefore teachers recommend parents to inculcate the benefits of reading in their kids right from the time when they are young. Not only this, those students who start this habit of reading books from their early childhood days are observed to display extraordinary language skills as well as impeccable ability to grasp variance in phonics.

It is known that reading increases mental development and stimulates the muscles of eyes thereby improving concentration and observation ability. Not only this, reading is one of a kind activity that involves higher concentration and also improves the conversational or communication skills of the readers. Reading enables you to learn new found words and phrases that can be used in day to day conversations and this habit becomes a healthy addiction so that one gathers their own information banks right in their minds. Not only this, reading offers the readers an insight of varied cultures of different countries and places and makes you sensitive towards world affairs.

Reading books that interest you expose you to more and more information which facilitates one to come up with innovative and creative ideas. All this improves your reasoning skills and develops your capabilities to understand various objectives and their possible solutions at once.

How Will You Define Retirement?

There was a time not that long ago that when the subject of retirement came up, we all pretty much had the same vision of what it would look like. We would work to about age 65, retire and live comfortably on our company or union pension, social security and whatever savings we had in the bank. It was similar for everyone. Retirees would kick back on the sofa, visit grandkids, travel and do this for the rest of their lives which was typically only 7-10 more years, give or take. Retirees didn't have to worry about something called Long Term Care yet and medical costs were still somewhat manageable with your old Blue Cross Blue Shield indemnity plan pretty much taking care of everything. Bottom line, retirement was more streamlined, easier in some ways to prepare for, but overall much shorter than it is today.

That traditional and very typical retirement structure is not dead but certainly on life support for a variety of reasons and not all of them bad. Most in what I call the "New Retirement" play by different rules. The goals and dreams of our parents are no longer our vision of how we want to spend our "golden years". If you are not retired yet, you will need to define what your vision is and not think about it necessarily as a destination but perhaps more so a change of course of how you will live in the next phase of your journey.

I am noticing with our own clients that there are now three very specific templates they are deploying or targeting. I think our group is probably a good litmus test for what will continue to evolve over the next 20 years. The three structures are as follows:

1. Traditional Retirement- Yes, it didn't go away completely. Some have saved enough spendable assets to properly budget for living expenses and plan for contingencies. They do not have a driving desire to work any longer and primarily spend their time... well... doing whatever floats their boat! This group however is very small and no longer typical. With longer lifespans our parents' retirement may soon be a lifestyle of the past.

2. The Semi-Retirement Retirement- This group represents what's becoming the largest segment of today's successful retirees. They have enough assets and don't have to work but continue to want to do something productive with their lives, very often in a different capacity. This group realizes that if retirement today can last as long as 30 years, it is more desirable on their terms to spend it on starting a small business, consulting in their past careers part time or choosing to make money at something they love doing. The semi-retirement retirement will be available primarily to those who still value proper financial planning and have saved enough to provide for flexible work for fun options.

3. The Working Retirement- Yes, an oxymoron but this in my opinion will become tomorrow's prevalent structure based on current planning and savings habits of young baby boomers. The prior two scenarios will not be an option as one or both spouses will have to remain in the workforce doing what they may not love in order to provide the necessary income for basic living expenses. I believe this group will do the best they can to take extra time off to find some diversion, but the live for now habits of the past 30 years will have caught up with them. My biggest fear is whether a job will be available to them to stay in the work force. If this does in fact become the predominant structure of the near future, where one or both spouses work full time forever, will the demographics of an ever aging population along with college graduates just joining the work force provide for enough employment opportunities? A very risky proposition but in reality, isn't how this group has played it all along?

8 Steps To Planning A Baby Shower

If you are hosting a baby shower for your best friend or relative then you want to make sure it will fun, memorable, and stress free! The best way to guarantee this is to plan the baby shower online. Creating a website for the baby shower will not only help you stay organized, but it will allow you to share and inform guests about all of the details and allow others to be involved in the planning process.

Here are 8 steps to follow to begin planning a successful baby shower:

1. Select date, time and location

When to hold the baby shower is up to the expecting mother. It usually occurs 4-6 weeks before the baby is due. Baby showers are usually held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons as this is usually the most convenient time. You need to make sure that the date/time is suitable for those 'must be there' guests such as the future grandmothers, aunts, and G-d mother. Having the shower on the weekend also makes it possible for out-of-town guests to attend. You can select the best possible date and time for the shower by setting up a poll on the shower website. This is the best way to learn the availability of your guests and chose the date/time that accommodates the most amount of people.

You should have a general idea of the number of guests that will be attending before selecting the location. Baby showers are usually held at the hostesses home as it is the most intimate option, however you want to make sure there is enough room for your guests to be comfortable. If you decide to have the shower at a restaurant, hotel or another venue, then you should book early to make sure you can reserve it for the date you want.

The baby shower website will be able to provide your guests with all of the details of the event, including date, time, and map to location. It will also inform them about any changes or updates.

2. Set a budget

Before arranging anything, you first need to establish how much you are willing and able to spend on the baby shower. Your budget will need to consider; invitations, decor, food and drinks, games, supplies and a gift. It is sometimes a good idea to have a co-host to help you with the costs. Having the baby shower at yours or another guests home is the most economical option. The menu and decor will also depend on your budget.

3. Create a guest list

Asking the mother-to-be who she wants to invite is the best way to make sure you do not forget about anyone important. Friends, family and co-workers usually make up the guest list. You want to obtain the contact information (address, phone number, email) of invitees as soon as possible to be able to get an estimation on the number of attending guests so you can continue planning.

4. Choose a theme

As the host, you can decide whether or not the baby shower will have a theme. Selecting a theme definitely adds to the ambiance of the shower and makes it easier to plan the website and invitation design, food, games and decor. If the expecting mother loves tea, then the shower theme can be a "tea party" whereby different teas will be served in fun and pretty tea cups. "Pampering mom" is another possible theme whereby everyone will receive spa treatments including hair, nails, facials, and massages. If you are having trouble deciding on a theme, you can ask your guests for their input and suggestions on your website message board.

Themes aren't necessary to plan a fun shower. You can simply choose pink or blue decor (depending if you know the sex of the baby) and can have supplies with pictures of toys and animals on it to add to the 'baby' feel.

5. Invite guests

It is so easy to invite guest online to the baby shower by sending out a broadcast email. The invitation should be informative and fun and include the following information:

• Date, time, location and theme of the shower
• Contact person information (# and email)
• A link to the baby shower website
• A description of activities that will take place
• Explain how to RSVP online and mention RSVP deadline
• Include baby registry information

With you baby shower website, guests will be able to RSVP online, and should be encouraged to do so by a specified date. This will allow you to always keep track of your guest list, and send out reminders to those who have not responded.

6. Menu

The menu will depend on the time of day the shower is being held. If the shower is taking place over a meal time then you are expected to serve various food options. It can be either a sit down meal or a buffet. If the shower is held during an afternoon, then snacks and appetizers are sufficient.

If the shower is at someone's home, the food can be homemade or catered. If you decide to have the shower at a restaurant or another venue, then you will need to create a special menu in advance. Regardless of the shower's location, you want to create a menu that fits within your budget and is consistent with the theme of the baby shower.

It is customary to have a cake for the expecting mom at the baby shower. You should decide early if you or another guest will make the cake or it will be ordered from a bakery. The design on the cake should be related to the theme of the shower.

In order to make sure your food selection matches the tastes and dietary requirements of your guests, you can ask guests about their preferences and any restrictions on their online RSVP form available on the baby shower website.

7. What games will you play?

A fun baby shower includes many silly games and prizes. Games and activities are a great way to get guests acquainted and mingling. They should be simple and easy to explain and set up. You need to plan this in advance to make sure you have all the right supplies. Games and activities should be selected based on the theme and baby related topics, and you want to make sure the mom-to-be can participate and enjoy. You can have any type of baby games such as baby name Scrabble, or pin the pacifier on the baby, a guess who gave it gift opening game.

8. Gift registry

You and your guests want to buy the expecting mom something she actually needs and wants. A gift registry can be set up on your baby shower website with details and a direct link to the expecting mom's online registry for guests to browse and purchase.

Be Prepared to Use Irresistible Forces

Do you want results . . . or are you satisfied with excuses?

The barrier to irresistible growth is not the unstoppable, uncontrollable external change, but fixed (and frequently unexamined) ideas of how to respond to those changes.

John Kenneth Galbraith, the prize-winning economist, observed that "The enemy of the conventional wisdom is not ideas but the march of events." And the tide of expected future change in our society is now rapid and breathtaking to most -- whether we consider irresistible forces like the advent of the Knowledge Age (with knowledge doubling in many fields within a few years, months, or even days), the electronic improvements in communication choices (the potential number of ways for you to receive or send a message will continue to grow rapidly for many more years), shifts in work activities (from routine fulfilling of standard tasks to Peter Drucker's knowledge work) and stability (as a result of down-sizing and a "free agent" work force), demographic-driven social changes (ever older populations in the developed countries and ever younger ones everywhere else), weather volatility (both in temperatures and storms), the movements of currencies and markets, social mores of the moment (fads get shorter and shorter), or personal styles of the young (differentiating from older teenagers, not just from adults).

There is no doubt that today the world has become much more complicated and interconnected. For businesses, globalization means that the number and distance of customers, suppliers and competitors have grown geometrically. Such interconnectedness also means that what affects one can quickly spread and affect all, like the rapid expansions of computer and human viruses. These connections mean that economic and financial adjustments, especially in prices and currency values, travel faster and further than before. Your irresistible growth enterprise must be agile in adapting to these changes. I believe that making rapid and best use of sudden changes in powerful conditions no one can control is the key to becoming an irresistible growth enterprise.

When asked in the 1950s about how much control they had over their business's success, U.S. CEOs felt they had a great deal. By the start of the 1990s, CEOs often felt that irresistible forces had more impact on the company's success then the employees did.

We only have to look at various charts measuring events over the last decades to see that the volatility of many irresistible forces is also growing. In the last 30 years alone, this volatility has included an unprecedented success by a commodity cartel (the Arab oil embargo), the fall of a major government type around the world (communism), stock prices have experienced unprecedented growth in the United States and many other countries, interest rates have fluctuated from over 20 percent to as low as 2 percent in North America (and more widely elsewhere), and the advent of the service economy (of stores and local brokerage offices) was diverted into creating an information-based economy.

As these examples suggest, the degree and speed of change are both accelerating. At one time, corporate leaders could conduct leisurely studies of such changing phenomena after they began to occur, thoughtfully select the right actions, and then experiment with the best way to proceed. The time required to deliberate over choices today often costs a company its biggest opportunities, and can even lead to failure.

Consider Barnes & Noble, the leader in physical book stores. Before launching its electronic commerce business, it decided to watch what happened with Amazon.com for a while as it studied its options. By the time the leaders of Barnes & Noble were ready to act, Amazon.com had built a commanding electronic lead that will be very difficult to overcome. Naturally, it is nice to be able to find one trend and ride it for a long time. The results can be wonderful.

McDonald's is one of very few companies that have had this experience. The company's premise is based on customers' desires for dependable, inexpensive food, served quickly and effectively in convenient clean locations. From its beginnings as a single hamburger stand in the 1930s in San Bernardino, California, it has become a global giant today.

But even McDonald's had to learn eventually to adapt to the irresistible force of consumer food preferences as it moved beyond North America. The familiar hamburger, fries and soft drink menu had to expand to offer curry in England and a glass of wine in Paris.

Today's enterprises will find such long-term rides to be the exception to the rule. Consider how Microsoft flirted with disaster in the 1990s by missing the early significance of providing software and services for the Internet. Intel was originally a memory chip manufacturer, and shifted into microprocessors as its primary business somewhat by accident.

The world is full of shuttered stores that failed to meet customer needs. Their boarded up windows are mute testimony to the need to shift with the changing trends. Many of the most significant uncontrollable forces (such as new technologies, improved communications, the weather, demographics, user preferences, and economic conditions) have grown much more volatile and unpredictable in just the past five to ten years. Analysts suggest that this trend will accelerate due to the "chaos" effects of how a small change in one place in the world can cause an enormous change elsewhere.

Simply consider all of the changes that Jack Welch went through to turn General Electric from a slow-growing-industrial goods manufacturer into a financial services powerhouse with high-margin manufacturing specialties. Any one of these changes could have overwhelmed most organizations, yet Welch succeeded with several.

How well the company fares under Welch's successors will reveal a lot about the difficulties of continuing as an irresistible growth enterprise.

This multiplier effect will increasingly result with all irresistible forces, and this is the key insight upon which you must act now. While most organizations will react to such uncontrollable forces and their changes only when it is impossible not to (out of self-preservation or fear), the irresistible growth enterprise will see the creation of broad unstoppable change, the accurate anticipation of such changes, and the steady beneficial harnessing of such changes to achieve its purposes as its primary tasks.

Are you ready?

Buying Or Renting - Which Makes More Sense?

You've just been promoted and with your salary increase, you can now move out of your childhood home and start living independently. Perhaps, you're about to have a newborn and the space you're currently occupying just wouldn't do for your growing family. Or you're just tired of your current home and you feel that you need a change of surrounding. Whatever your reason may be, one thing is for sure - you're moving out.

Buy or Rent?

Now that you've decided that you're moving out of your old place, the next agenda would be to determine whether you're buying or renting. Of course, both options have their perks and drawbacks which can make the decision very hard to make. To help you in your predicament, below are lists of perks associated with buying or renting a property.

Why Rent?

Renting is the best option for people who have jobs that require them to travel a lot. It frees them from the financial responsibility that owning a house entails. It's also perfect if you don't want to worry about maintenance and repairs because these usually fall under the responsibility of the landlord. And of course, renting makes sense if your finances can't handle the expenses coupled with buying a house.

Here are the other advantages of renting a home:

  • Renting poses lesser risks - With the current state of the economy, one cannot truly say that he has a stable job. One day, you might wake up with no job and a mortgage to pay. With renting, you don't need to worry about this.
  • It makes budgeting easier - Because you know your monthly rent, you can easily set aside the amount before the due date. This gives you a lot of opportunity to plan out your finances.

Why Buy?

Buying would also be a good option if you're planning on staying in one place for a good four years. Apart from that, you also need to have a stable source of income and a good credit history. Why?

For starters, the seller would probably ask you for a five percent down payment for the property. You might think that five percent is not big at all but when you consider the current price range of houses today - it's big; not to mention the other closing costs associated with your purchase. You should also have the finances to cover occasional home maintenance expense and improvement projects.

Other perks of buying a house includes:

  • It gives you a sense of security - Owning a house gives you a feeling of security and stability. It's like you've finally found a place where you can let loose and completely put down your roots.
  • You get to live by your rules - Obviously, you can't do this with a rental home because your landlord may have laid down some rules about living in his property. With your very own home, you have the freedom to paint the walls whatever colour you want!

If you ultimately choose to buy, it would be best to talk to experts and get professional property advisory so you're sure that you're making the right decision.

What is Best About Compact Cameras

Compact cameras can never be out in the market. The demands for it are never ending so no doubt it stays in the market through the age of time despite the innovations of many categories of cameras. Well for obvious reason that it is light, easy to carry along especially when traveling, easy to use, it has its complete equipment in one compact like the flash, the features scenes and other stuff, and in this age video is already available in compact cameras. For many who are mostly taking pictures for leisure and convenience, this camera is the best choice for its above purpose.

The recent innovation of compact cameras now is being led by Fuji, Olympus and Panasonic. However Sony, Nikon and Canon can never be left behind. These makers of the top of the line camera have evolved compact cameras to its compactness and now have the competitiveness to SLR cameras and other digital innovations of other categories.

Taking these cameras that are coming into the market that show wonder and excellence on its own merit based on its technical features and size and its price as well.

Fuji Models with Long Zooms have captured many shoppers. The Fujifilm Zoom Date 160EZ and Zoom Date 140EZ differ only in lenses, a long 38-160mm lens and a 38-140mm zoom respectively. These are very compact until their lenses are extended. The features of these cameras are highly competitive with those that are on top of the market. The flash feature does an outstanding job. The versatile Multi-Programmed Flash and infrared sensor are a sure hit. Another awesome feature is the oversized and illuminated LCD data panel on the camera.

The new series of Nikon Cameras with ED Lenses are also a head turner . These cameras are chic with its compact body of clamshell design and a protective sliding lens cover and titanium finish. The two most recent Lite Touch Zoom models include a 38-150mm ED zoom and a 38-130mm ED zoom. Its strong feature is its passive autofocus system with a wide-area sensor which allows quick shooting.

Canon's Sure Shot 115u and 105u are compact 35mm cameras which are equipped with a 38-115mm zoom and a 38-105mm zoom respectively. These cameras are superb with the current trend, having more competence than most of their competitors of compact cameras. The excellent withal features in a compact categories are an eyepiece diopter correction dial, a typical full auto mode plus four subject-specific programs and exposure compensation options (+1.5 EV and -1.5 EV). Indeed, this camera is great for quick shooting and very well equipped for a compact. You can not take your eyes away from it considering it is affordable for its features and even light weight.

And last but not the least which truly has the capacity to contend other top cameras is the Olympus Splash-Proof Duo. This baby soars in the market as well. The Olympus Stylus cameras have been best sellers and have never been outmoded so far. The capability to resist rain as well as sand and spray still serve the best feature of this camera. And now comes the latest technical innovation the Stylus 120 with 38-120mm zoom and the Stylus 105 with 38-105mm zoom and now are fully automatic. The advanced capabilities like the two light metering patterns (three-zone and spot), and a new, passive, 11-point autofocus sensor which allows the camera to focus on a minute object most anywhere in the frame coming out with good detail thus make this models in demand in the market. In fact, considering the price, the features and the weight and design make this a "best buys".

Maui Resorts on the Beach

There are a few choices for Maui resorts on the beach, however not all are worth the price. Below there are three options highlighted with both pros and cons to help you choose before your next trip to Maui.

Wailea Beach Marriot Resort: One of the highest ranked places to stay in Maui, the Grand Wailea is a great place for children as well as those wanting to get away for a little romance. Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii, this resort is only about 20 minutes from the airport. The Napua Towers especially offer a world away from others feel, but it too is great for both couples as well as families with children. Food is expensive in Maui, there are refrigerators available so it is advised to stock up on some basics in order to save a little money. There are many activities nearby as well so in addition to being in a beautiful place to relax you won't get bored with the options available. This hotel is centrally located, near to many activities and caters to both couples as well as those with children.

Lahaina Shores Beach Resort: Keep in mind that not all rooms are alike, some for instance, room #422 are not recommended unless the hammock has been replaced with an actual bed. However, the overall report on this resort is that it is located in a great place. On the edge of Lahaina, you are close to a waterfront town with various restaurants, bars and galleries. A quick 2 block walk gets you to town as well as being located on beach front property. The water is shallow and you can view boats in the nearby marina. View whales during the whale seasons, December - mid April, and enjoy the relaxing pool, hot tub and barbecue. This property is spotless with no bugs. The only negatives are that there is no restaurant or bar on site, but there are many nearby. There is also no gym on site. All in all though this resort is one of the faves among tourists.

Ka'anapali Beach Club: Most travelers will find this a great place to stay, however it is advised that you choose one of the higher floors. Recent renovations may have changed this, but in the past the higher rooms offered better rooms and better views. When this property was owned by Embassy Suites it was better run and much more appealing. Travelers have found now that the service is poorer and the free wireless spotty at best. One huge advantage of this resort however is that it is right on the beach, a beautiful beach and that is often a rare find - and often worth the other headaches. The higher floored rooms have spacious units and recently rooms are getting upgraded sofa beds with temper pedic mattresses. Be warned however that some travelers experienced a last minute cancellation for "unknown maintenance issues". Always be prepared for unexpected changes. If you can do that and are willing to put up with a few snags, then what this resort has to offer is well worth it. Great location, and great rooms. But it would not be ranked the highest by any means.

The three Maui resorts on the beach highlighted above all have pros and cons, as you'll find with any place you want to stay. The Wailea Beach Marriot Resort is one of the highest recommended places to stay, offering great accommodations for families with children as well as couples trying to relax. The Lahaina Shores for the most part is considered of high quality, although not all rooms offer the same things and there are no restaurants or gym on site. The Ka'anapali Beach Club, out of these three, is the least recommended just because ownership has changed hands and it is harder to know what to expect. The prices may be higher for less service, but that isn't to say that the location and rooms aren't excellent, just be prepared for last minute changes and possible problems with service and internet capability.
